Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell, born on the 27th March 1970 in New York City, at a height of 5'9" she is an acclaimed American actress. Her roles include her character Dr. Juliet Burke from ABC Television's Lost series, as well as FBI Agent Erica Evans for V. The Escape Clause and Gia. Mitchell appears in Eric Kripke's television program Revolution which is telecast on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell, her stepfather and Josephine Marian Mitchell are both lawyers from Dallas. Mitchell and mother moved to Dallas Texas from California in the year 1970. In the year 1975, Mitchell's mom married Joseph Mitchell. Mitchell went to Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts which is a magnet public high school. She is the oldest of three sisters, her two sisters are Kristina Kristie Mitchell (the youngest) Mitchell and Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991 she graduated of Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and she was also enrolled at the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a time in the Encore Theater. The actress is known today for playing the role of Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime show Criminal Minds. The character of Brewsters left the series on March 2011and could come back to the show when she is older.
