Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as a film actress due to her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She received an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is involved in the world of film and on television. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in several shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. The stage credits she has received include the Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. For her work on television she's received praise for her role as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
