Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actor and a singer. Bell is a Michigan native, born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is of Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. In 1992, she was awarded her first part in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was 13 years old. Then, she was selected for newspapers ads as well as TV commercials. In addition, she is beginning individual acting classes. Bell was on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role as Dorothy. Bell later moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell graduated from her college in 2001 after she took the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell's first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part has been cut out and only the credits depict her. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
