She also played in her first directorial film Whip It. She was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award and an Golden Globe Award for her role in Grey Gardens. She was the main character in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet. She is currently hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, an NBC-owned talk-show.
